Welcome to FaithfulMD
A place to remember you are not alone and there is HOPE!
In the midst of a global crisis due to COVID-19, I am SO grateful and proud of my physician colleagues and every medical professional who continues to care for patients with excellence in a tough reality. So, my first question is … how are YOU doing?
Yes, I’m intentional to stop and ask about YOU right away because I know you’re exhausted and don’t have much time. And after 25 years in clinical medicine, my work now revolves around ensuring the wellbeing and equipping of my colleagues so they may, in turn, care for others well ... in a sustainable, healthier way.
I don’t want you leaving a career in medicine resentful, bitter, and less healthy than you were when you started.
So, how are you? Stop for a moment and take a deep breath. Exhale. Do it again, and consider...
- Do you feel supported at work?
- Do you feel safe and valued as a human being?
- Do you have what you need to care for people as you want your loved ones treated?
- What do YOU need?
“When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.”
- ALEXANDER DEN HEIJER
