Virtual AAFP Nat’l Conference, FM Residents & Med Students – Join Us!

Yes, the pandemic goes on and, yet, we can still meet, have fun, and learn together … virtually! So, I hope you’ll join us July 30 – Aug 1, 2020 for one of the best family medicine conferences of the year! I am thrilled to be one of the speakers and will teach a timely workshop titled Incivility in Health Care: Strategies to De-escalate Troubling Encounters.

I will share stories & strategies from my 25+ years in clinical medicine. These strategies protect us as whole people — mind, body, soul, and spirit.

Oh, yes, I will also share a bonus story at the end. No spoilers except to say it will remind us of the good in the world. As the anonymous 1920’s poem, Desiderata, proclaims, “With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.”

I hope you’ll join us from the beach, your home, or wherever you are for the much-anticipated AAFP National Conference of Family Medicine Residents & Medical Students coming up July 30 – Aug 1, 2020. I can’t wait to meet you virtually, and feel free to connect with me here with questions and/or comments you may have during or after my presentation.

Stay well, and remember to be good to yourself!
